Making Our Stations Safer

Our Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, visited the New Delhi Railway Station to check on a new building project. This new building is a special area being built to help with big crowds, especially before festivals. This project is a step to make our journeys safer and more comfortable.

What Is This New Area?

This special area, called a “holding area,” is being built to handle crowds of up to 3,000 people. Its main job is to help manage the flow of people and keep the platforms from getting too crowded. All ticket sales will happen in this new area, so only people with a ticket will be able to go to the platforms. This will make travel much smoother for everyone!

Spreading the Good Ideas

The government is building this kind of holding area at four other stations across India. The goal is to eventually build them at 60 more busy stations. This is a great plan to make our railway network safer and more organized for all passengers.
